TOX-WASTECH, Inc. (TWI), founded in 1979, is
an advisory and policy leader in environmentally sound waste disposal
and the proprietor of a revolutionary technology for toxic waste
containment.
In 1986, the U.S. Congress requested that TWI develop a
means for containing toxic waste. The result was the creation
of an above ground entombment facility known as the Modular Engineered
Disposal System's Integrated Technology of Entombment (MED SITE), an
idea so dynamic that it was patented in the year 2000.
The MED SITE is the only disposal and containment system compliant
with all applicable U.S. Federal Regulations and Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) codes.
At the core of this revolutionary technology is a patented,
lightweight, flame retardant, non-corrosive, non-conductive and chemically
resistant polymer. This polymer coats the internal structure of the MED
SITE as well as the specially designed transport/internment containers used to
entomb waste. The patented polymer and MED SITE will render obsolete the
large scale generator-to-permanent disposal waste management in existence
today.
